The Emu Point area has many accessible features. There is ample parking and disability toilet facilities available. There is lso a beach wheelchair that can be booked and a ramp to the beach. I also noticed a rotary initiative "Frienship House" offering low cost accomodation for people with disabilities and their families.
The Emu Point area is mostly flat making mobility easier.There is a playground and a walkway track which begins from the Emu Point carpark and continues along the forshore area. The first km of the track is scenic and flat,then it tends to have inclines and declines and less visual interest.
All proceeds of the Wobbly Boots Big Lap go directly MDT and allow them to make a real difference in the lives of Tasmanian families struggling with the effects of Muscular Dystrophy and similar allied conditions.
