Part of this experience was the transport to the reef and the opportunity to listen to the history of the area. The trip there included sitting on the bus and listening to commentary however the return trip involved disembarking to look at the view and lighthouse. There were a few high steps to get on to the bus and I found it difficult to embark and disembark and chose to stay on the bus.
I was able to get on and off the boat but required some physical assistance when disembarking as the tidal change required again using steps.
My experience on the glass bottom boat was as a spectator watching marine life and snorkelling was not an option for me.
