I decided not to attempt this tour as it required embarking and disembarking from boats as well as walking across rocky ground (There was an option to stay aboard the first boat for the entirity of the tour and not transfer to the second boat).
My partner chose to do the tour and relayed that I would have found the tour too difficult for a variety of reasons : embarking and disembarking with water level rising and falling making accessibility difficult and unpredictable. There was also a walk to the second Gorge to get on another boat. This walkway required a climbing a flight of many steps, following a compact pathway and crossing slippery rock surfaces. There was also an urgency to walk quickly to ensure more time at the second Gorge.
The tour, commentary and scenery was exceptional however it was not an accesible experience.
All proceeds of the Wobbly Boots Big Lap go directly MDT and allow them to make a real difference in the lives of Tasmanian families struggling with the effects of Muscular Dystrophy and similar allied conditions.
Please be patient if you contact us - there will be times when we have no reception and we will usually be checking emails and messages at night as our days will be full. Thankyou for your Interest and support :) - Warren and Kathy
