There has been consideration to include disabled people in the design of this esplanade. There is ample disabled parking as well as both shower and toilet facilities. The esplanade is flat with concrete pathways, plenty of seating and both individual and group areas for picnics.
There is a wooden board walk near the life saving club which takes you to the top of the dune but doesn't continue downwards to the beach. I had some difficulty accessing the beach and walking on the soft sand.
There is a surf life saving club Cafe on the esplanade however the only access seems to be via a steep staircase.
All proceeds of the Wobbly Boots Big Lap go directly MDT and allow them to make a real difference in the lives of Tasmanian families struggling with the effects of Muscular Dystrophy and similar allied conditions.
Please be patient if you contact us - there will be times when we have no reception and we will usually be checking emails and messages at night as our days will be full. Thankyou for your Interest and support :) - Warren and Kathy
