From the carpark and picnic area a compacted and level dirt pathway approximately 300metres long can be accessed to the bird hide. The ground level of the hide is accessible however the second level of the bird hide where the telescope is located requires climbing a staircase.
This can be achieved with some effort with both handrails and stair height manageable. Both the 1st and 2nd levels have seating to sit and watch the birdlife.
The picnic area has limited seating space and access to the toilet facility could be difficult due to the uneven ground and step before walking the boardwalk to the long drop toilet.
